At GoGreenBags, our mission is make high quality reusable bags that are far better to use than their disposable alternatives. We believe that the best way to reduce the use of wasteful plastic bags is to make our bags a naturally preferable choice. We're proud of the products we make, and even more proud of the fact that our GoGreenBags have diverted an estimated 413 tons of plastic waste from landfill to date.
The original Heavy Hauler, introduced in 2016
GoGreenBags was founded as a response to the staggering amount of plastic found floating in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. After seeing how many marine animals were dying from ingesting plastic bags, we decided that we would tackle the disposable bag market with a better alternative. We designed and launched the first version of the Heavy Hauler tote on Amazon in 2016, and our sales proved that there were customers out there that shared our concerns.
Launching our first bag was a learning experience. The early reviews were mixed, with a lot of people loving the Heavy Hauler, but others mentioning issues with the stitching and handles. We took note of our customers' feedback and released an updated version of the GoGreenBags Heavy Hauler in 2017, alongside a brand update and new logo.

By the end of 2017, we realized that it wasn't enough to only produce a replacement for disposable carry-out bags. There was still the issue of disposable plastic produce bags, and some customers were demanding a more stylish bag that could be used as an everyday tote. These demands led us to introduce our mesh produce bags and all-natural cotton totes in 2018, and we have many more product ideas in the pipeline to come.
Since then, we've been keeping our ear to the ground - always listening to customer feedback and making improvements to our products every chance we find.
We're not going to pretend to know the future, but with disposable bag bans rapidly coming into effect around the world, we feel that we're in a position to help provide consumers with responsible alternatives to the wasteful consumption habits of the past.
We're constantly searching for new and better ways to meet the needs of our customers, but we can't do it alone. We need your feedback to let us know how we can better meet your needs in the future. So if you have a product idea or improvement that you think we should make, please contact us and let us know!
